CAN-AM CROWN SLED DOG RACES Three races: 30, 60 and 250 mile distances. 90 teams participating with $40,000 in prize money. One of the biggest races in the East.  May ( all month ) Fiddlehead season comes to Northern Maine A local delicacy, "the truffle of the north Maine woods". Bring your canoe or kayak and join the locals along the riverbeds in the annual "hunt" for this delicious edible fern.
